ABOUT ZARAKOL

Zarakol Communications Services was established at the end of 1992 under the name of Zarakol & Parman. The company started by providing consultancy services to the National Quality Congress organized by TUSIAD in collaboration with KalDer (Quality Association). The firm continued to do business under the exclusive name of Zarakol from 1995 onwards.

After establishing the company Necla Zarakol defined its vision as “providing consultancy services, especially to business associations and non-government organizations”, and its mission as “contributing to the development of organized community”. The company, also publishing TUSIAD’s Görüş (Vision) periodical, became in short time the communications company of non-government organizations such as the Automotive Industrialists Association (OSD), the Chemical Industrialists Association (KSD), the Tourism Investors Association (TYD) and the Turkey Hoteliers Union (TÜROB).

With the development of the company, clients such as Turkcell Communications Services Inc. (1997-99) and the newly established Bank Capital (1998-99) were included into Zarakol’s portfolio. This changed the firm’s course to “corporate communications consultancy”. Also the decision was taken to remain a medium sized establishment and to conduct business with a ‘boutique’ understanding.

Working with a company established in 1999, which rose to the position of the best known internet service provider of the time, was a turning point in Zarakol’s business life. The rapid growth of the company caused Zarakol to give up its other clients and the ensuing economic crisis of 2000 forced the firm to adapt radical changes in its business plans.

The new vision of the company is, “to work with the leaders of each industry, and to be a consultancy firm that makes a mark by creating differences in communications events”.

Zarakol has approached its target step by step during the past five years. First it enriched its employee pool with highly qualified and skilled personnel. Then it grew its client portfolio substantially which resulted in Zarakol as being accepted as one of the most prestigious, leading companies of today’s market.

Zarakol is a founding member of PRCI Turkey, the PR sector’s joint company, and its association, the IDA, established in 1998 with the aim of raising the service standards of the PR industry. Furthermore, it is also the Turkish leg of IPREX (Independent PR Executives), which has one independent PR company from each of the developed countries of the world as a member.

These memberships have provided Zarakol with the opportunity to closely follow global developments in the industry and to rapidly configure its organizational structure which it is still continuing to do so.

Zarakol’s leading competitive advantages can be listed as its intellectual capital, 7/24 work understanding, its speed and focus on results aimed at creating a difference.

Zarakol clients experience the comfort of working long terms with individuals and teams they know and trust; the employee turnover in the company is very low.

Teams that share the same experiences and talk the same language respond to the communications requirements of its clients faster and with the most fitting and correct solutions.

All business processes of Zarakol conform to international norms.
